Thai Food Festival at OGH

Orchid Garden Hotel is introducing some of the finest authentic dishes in the Asean region with the launch of the Thailand Food Promotion 2012.

The flavourful and spicy dishes such as torn yam soup, a local favourite, is served at Goldiana Café and Lounge in the hotel lobby.

Not to be missed are Pu Pod Pong Gahree (stir-fried crab with Thai curry powder), Gang Khai (Thai chicken curry), Phad Thai noodles and Khai Hor Bia Teoy (pandan chicken). Other lighter servings are Yam Talay (hot and sour seafood salad) complemented with dipping sauce, Yarn Nuea (Thai beef salad) and Yam Vun Sen (Thai green noodles salad).

The menus will be rotated daily until the end of the promotional period on April 14.

Others Thai-inspired dishes include Hor Mok Pla (steamed fish cake), Pad Pod Ruim Mit (stir-fried mixed vegetables), Yam Pew Som (chicken pew Som) and Chao Tom (chicken & prawn w/ lemon grass stick).

There are also corners with a selection of salads and cold appetiser served with dressings, hot appetiser like pan-fried squid in tangy Thai sauce and roasted chicken thigh ‘Thai red curry marinated’.

Adding a subtle hint of eccentricity to the dishes are hearty portions of Massaman oxtail, grilled roasted lamb loin with mint sauce and ‘Pattaya style’ torn yarn fried tang boon.
